Bad Blogger!!!
I've really forgotten to hop on by lately and give updates on this lovely thing called wedding planning.

- We got the engagement pictures back and they are WONDERFUL!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! Yep that much! I'll include a link to my facebook because posting them all here would take YEARS. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.520884791731.2013219.119000018 ( I just realized because of my privacy setting you can't access the pictures) If I'm not super lazy today I'll add some, there are over 400 pictures so this will be a task.
- We did a taste test and the food was great!
- We will be finsihed paying off the photograpgher next week.
- I did a mock up of the centerpiece I want. I think I need to do a few changes and they will be perfect
- Skip said he doesn't care about the invites so I get to pick the ones I LOVE!!! Yay ME!!!
- I found the song I'm going to walk down the aisle to. I would love to post it here but Skip might stop by one day and it's a surprise :-)
- On Saturday some of my bridesmaids are going to try on the dress I picked out. I hope they LOVE it too.

Frames for Photo Booth Pictures
I told you about the photo booth and how we are going to use the pictures as favors well here is what the photos are going to go into. Custom photo booth magnets!!! These make a great creative wedding favor. The magnetic strip frames are great to pass out at any special event that has a photo booth! My guests can easily display their photo booth strip neatly on their refrigerator!
These are SUPER cheap $11.16 per dozen. I'll need 19 dozen so my total will be around $213.00!!! I'm in LOVE |

So since we got engaged I've spent many hours trying to make a wedding website. I didn't know how I wanted it to look, what I wanted to include on it, I knew NOTHING! Photographer Switch UP
One of my best friends is a MAC makeup artist and she is doing my makeup for free as my gift. I was browsing her website and came across some pictures of a wedding that I loved. I noticed her photographer was George Street so I gave them a call. We went last night to George Street Photography to for a little meeting and to pick out our lead photographer. We really loved all of their work and the prices aren't to bad either.
We are getting the Photography Select Package which includes the following:

A George Street Certified Lead Photographer has extensive experience shooting beautifully artistic George Street weddings. They have gone through rigorous training and are regularly critiqued to reinforce their eye for detail and creativity. George Streetʼs photographers are truly masters of their craft.
- Free Digital Negatives on DVD
We will give you all of your high-quality digital negatives for your archives. You can use these photos to make reprints or any creative project you want.
- Online Proofing & Ordering
After we optimize and color balance your proofs, we will put them online for friends and family to view. Your guests can also order prints, use coloring options, and add borders directly from our online hosting site. Parents and Grandparents can even order albums online, delivered directly to them at home.
- Unlimited Black & White Sepia Print Options
Everything that we shoot is in color, but because of the digital technology that we use, we do not charge extra for coloring or any other print options that you request. When you order prints online, you and your guests have creative control of different colors, free of charge.
- On-Location Studio at Reception
If you are interested in capturing more formal portraits of your guests, your photographer can bring a portable studio to the reception. Remember to have your DJ encourage guests to pose in the studio so that everyone gets their portraits taken. ( I don't think we are going to do this. I think I just want them to go table by table and take pictures but we have awhile to decide)
- Personal Wedding Photography Coordinator
A personal wedding photography coordinator helps every client plan their day around photography and video. Your coordinator can give advice on locations, times and will look over your planning sheets to ensure that you have enough time to take great shots.
- George Street Gift Registry
Register for your favorite photography or video items through George Street! Friends and family can get personalized frames, canvas prints, and much more!
We opted for a second Photographer for four hours which cost $445.00. Because we are booking this month we are also getting a 16x20 Canvas Print for free and we are also getting 2 for 1 prints for 30 Days after the wedding any size. (This promo is for us as well as out guest)
Total Cost: $1872.85
As far as video our church records the services every Sunday so the same person will be recording our wedding. We are going to make a $200 donation for their services.

Engagement Pictures Take ONE
After reading a thread on here I went to craigslist to see if I could find a photographer that would take some pictures of us so we could remember this wonderful time in our life. While these won't be the only pictures we take during our engagement I just wanted some NOW!! lol I guess once I get something in my mind there is no stopping me. We found this great girl Kisha Pierre for a great price $50 for two hours so we took her up on her offer. We went out Saturday even though it was COLD and took some pictures, we were supposed to go out on Sunday to do some beach/Navy Pier pictures but we were rained out. We will be taking those pictures on Thursday though since it's supposed to be pretty nice. Here are a few of the pictures from Saturday, I'll post the rest after after I get back in town next week.
Love these pictures but they have made me realize that it's time for me to get a workout plan. A new healthier and thinner Takara is coming soon. I'm getting my workout plan together NOW! I will NOT be SUPER CHUNKY on my wedding day!!!

Reception Hall BOOKED!!!
This past week was my Spring Break and Skip and I decided we wanted to find and book a reception hall that week. So for five days we looked at four different places. The price range was from $10,000- $20,000 for 200 people. I knew that receptions were the bulk of your budget BUT MY GOD who knew i needed such a LARGE budget. Anyway we looked at all of these places (pictures will be at the bottom) but we ended up choosing The Serbian Social Center. This place is budget friendly and you really get a bang for your dollar. I'm super excited about booking so far in advance because I felt like this was my NUMBER ONE concern. The reception is the PARTY and I want ours to be unforgettable.
